Optical drive DOS driver for ICH9 chipset

Once everyone is using up to date mobo's, all this driver stuff will be ancient history. I tested icg9 provided DOS driver of the manufacturer -sscdrom. Have you looked for DOS driver on the optical drive's website? Until then, it is recommended to stay with the default PIIX3 virtual chipset if you need a network. So how come the chip be registered at the right address and still not get detected?

Just to mention here that I did the backup on hard driveand now I want to create a restoration boot-DVD.

As I said earlier, I was not familiar with the error you reported: PCI sound cards and Chipsets from various manufacturers But, if you are able to load the DOS optical drive drivers that mount and assign a DOS drive letter to your optical drive, then Ghost will treat that Ghost image file that was first saved to a HDD, and then burned to optical media, like any other Ghost file, and you can work with it just fine!
